Growing up, I experienced some dental work as an orthodontic patient, and I actually thought that I'd like to be an orthodontist. I thought working with my hands was something I enjoyed, and also I enjoyed science. And then also, I experienced some crown work done on front teeth, and I also thought my general dentist was a great role model, somebody that I would have liked to emulated. So I thought this is also something that I would enjoy doing.
Yeah, I decided in high school that I wanted to be a dentist, so I went that way, geared toward that in college. And being able to make a nice cosmetic difference for patients with the front teeth is an area that I particularly enjoy.
On September 1984, I came to Fort Wayne and took over an office, stayed there for 17 and a half years, then built a much bigger, nice, new office and moved in in early-2002. My son joined the practice, Dr. Keith Harrison, in 2012, and he's been practicing with me for nine years. It's been a great pleasure to practice alongside my son.
We've always wanted to treat the patients as people. It goes beyond just their teeth and smile. We want them to get the type of work that we would want to have ourselves.
