Invisalign is an alternative to traditional braces. It allows us to move your teeth with a series of clear aligners which are basically retainers that fit over your teeth and each aligner moves your teeth a very small amount. Nowadays the capabilities of Invisalign have almost reached those of traditional braces, so we're able to treat most orthodontic patients with Invisalign as an option. The Invisalign treatment process begins with a digital scan of your teeth as well as photographs that we take. We send these to Invisalign. Invisalign formulates a treatment plan. They usually send us back a three-dimensional simulation of your teeth moving which allows us to show you what your end result will look like and what we can accomplish with your Invisalign treatment. It's important to note that with Invisalign, you need to wear your aligners between 22 to 24 hours a day. That really means you can only take them out to eat and brush your teeth. Invisalign is the best in the business. They are superior to a lot of the other products out there nowadays. They are more expensive. You do get what you pay for when it comes to clear aligners. There are many alternatives to Invisalign, but Invisalign is the one that our practice has chosen because we believe in it the most.
